Overview
The GoHighLevel integration allows you to send contacts directly from GHL into EverSend and trigger AI-driven follow-up automatically.
Once connected, your team can use GHL workflows to:
- Add contacts to an EverSend campaign
- Add contacts to an EverSend AI agent
- Pause AI conversations
- Remove contacts from AI automation
This allows your CRM activity to trigger conversations automatically without manual work.
Before You Start
Before connecting GoHighLevel, make sure you have:
Required Access
- GoHighLevel Admin access
- Active EverSend account
You do not need to configure campaigns, agents, phone numbers, or billing before connecting. Those can all be configured later inside EverSend.
Connecting GoHighLevel to EverSend
Step 1: Open Integrations
Inside EverSend:
- Log in to your EverSend account
- Navigate to Integrations
- Select GoHighLevel
- Click Connect
Step 2: Authorize GoHighLevel
You will be redirected to GoHighLevel.
- Select the GHL account you want to connect
- Review permissions
- Authorize the connection
Once approved, you'll be redirected back to EverSend.
Your GoHighLevel account is now connected.

What EverSend Syncs from GoHighLevel
After connecting, EverSend can sync:
- Contacts
- Phone numbers
- Email addresses
- Calendars
This allows EverSend to identify contacts and enroll them into campaigns and AI agents.
Using EverSend Inside GHL Workflows
Once connected, EverSend actions become available directly inside GHL workflows.
Step 1: Open Workflows
Inside GoHighLevel:
- Navigate to Automation
- Open Workflows
- Create a new workflow or edit an existing one
Step 2: Add an EverSend Action
Add one of the available EverSend workflow actions.
Add to EverSend Campaign
Use this action when you want a contact to enter a specific EverSend campaign.
Examples:
- New lead created
- Form submission
- Pipeline stage change
- Missed call follow-up

Add to EverSend AI Agent
Use this action when you want a contact to begin an AI-driven conversation.
Examples:
- Speed-to-lead follow-up
- Appointment booking
- Qualification
- Lead nurturing

Pause EverSend AI Agent
Use this action when AI conversations should temporarily stop.
Examples:
- Human rep takes over
- Opportunity enters active pipeline
- Lead requests follow-up later

Remove from EverSend AI Agent
Use this action when contacts should completely exit AI automation.
Examples:
- Lead becomes unqualified
- Deal is closed
- Contact opts out
Configuring Workflow Actions
When adding an EverSend action, GoHighLevel will ask you to select:
- The EverSend campaign
- The EverSend AI agent
- Action behavior
This allows campaign and AI routing to be controlled directly from your GHL workflows.
How to Send an Image from GoHighLevel
Option 1 — Use GHL Media
Inside your workflow:
- Add the EverSend Campaign action
- Select your campaign
- Choose an image from your GHL media library
- Save and publish the workflow
EverSend will send the image together with the campaign message.

Option 2 — Use an Image URL
Inside the workflow action:
- Locate the image URL field
- Paste a publicly accessible image URL
- Save the workflow
EverSend will use the image when the campaign triggers.

Trigger: New contact created

Result: AI starts the conversation immediately.
Missed Call Follow-Up
Trigger: Missed call event
Action: Add to EverSend Campaign
Result: Immediate follow-up begins automatically.
Appointment Booking
Trigger: Lead reaches qualification stage
Action: Add to EverSend AI Agent
Result: AI handles qualification and booking.
Human Takeover
Trigger: Opportunity moves to active sales stage
Action: Pause EverSend AI Agent
Result: Human reps take ownership of the conversation.
Troubleshooting
GHL Connection Fails
Possible causes:
- Missing admin permissions
- Authorization incomplete
- Expired session
Fix:
- Reconnect the integration
- Verify admin access
- Repeat authorization
EverSend Actions Not Appearing
Possible causes:
- Integration disconnected
- Workflow builder needs refresh
- Authorization incomplete
Fix:
- Reconnect GHL
- Refresh workflows
- Reauthorize the integration
Contacts Not Entering EverSend
Possible causes:
- Workflow did not trigger
- Contact does not meet enrollment criteria
- Missing contact information
Fix:
- Review workflow settings
- Test with a sample contact
- Confirm phone and email data exist
